Day 18-Flatfoot

I have the flattest feet ever seen on a human. This is caused because my joints are so loose (in particular my ankles) that they 'roll' inwards towards the floor when I stand. I have an arch when I'm not putting weight on my feet, but as soon as I do my ankles roll. This obviously not only affects pressure put on my feet but also my knees and hips, because it pulls them out of proper alignment.

So.

Because my flat feet are not caused by a tendon and rather from my joints, surgery is not an option (apparently). The only thing I can do is use insoles in my shoes. But now I'm attempting to retrain my feet so that when I stand I do have an arch. It's really hard to remember, because I have to actively pay attention to my feet and make sure my ankles are straight, but it will help my knees, hips and back a lot. Especially my knees.

This is me, happy my joints don't hurt.
